Digital technologies enable many innovation opportunities, ranging from ‘smart cities’ to digital government, big data and analytics to improvements in digital connectivity, inclusiveness, and accessible education. The session provides an overview of the opportunities and challenges for the connected society, including the role of private sector companies, academia, media and the digital skills needed for the greater good of society. The session will also discuss the opportunity for digital economy development as a driver for socio-economic development.
